Ghost Pipes!

Monotropa uniflora is a plant lacking chlorophyll. Happily thriving in the darkest spots in the woods, this plant dines on the mycelium of Russula mushrooms.

Ghost pipes are said to be good for anxiety. But do you eat them, steep them in a tea, or simply go for a walk in the woods to enjoy the possibility of a sighting? Surely the walk is a good idea.

I share interesting photos and news in an email newsletter about four times each year. I do not share or sell contact information.

The newsletter is a good way to hear of new material and sales. There's no cost and no commitment. Just enjoy the fungal and Northwest fun.
